Piggy Palace & Rabbit Ranch
DUE TO BUILDING WORK WE ARE NOT TAKING BOOKINGS FOR BETWEEN 16TH JANUARY AND 28TH APRIL.
For some small animals it may not be suitable for them to be left alone in their own homes for long periods of time. Most pets are social animals and become used to our every day lives and prefer to have company all day long. We offer a home-from-home boarding facility for small animals to come stay with us. We treat your pets as if they were our own. We have the use of nine bespoke outdoor hutches suitable for for rabbits or guinea pigs. Our hutches are large and sturdy and feature easy clean wipe down floors to ensure perfect hygiene, igloos and tunnels to hide under and Megazorb dust free bedding for safety and comfort. Six of our hutches are in a shed and the other three are protected by a roof ensuring that they are protected from the elements and are enclosed entirely by fox-proof wire. We use a pet-safe fly deterrent weekly to prevent insect infestations. The hutches are enclosed in a large run area covered in paving slabs which is much easier to clean between visitors. We grow foraging and grass trays to encourage natural instincts. The run also contains tunnels, platforms and toys to ensure your pets never get bored. These hutches are included in the hire rate. Our outdoor hutches are located in a quiet, fenced off area of the garden especially created for the small animals.
Daily routine for rabbits and guinea pigs include:
- Fresh fruit and veggies
- Minimum of 2 hours run time (weather dependent)
- Access to foraging trays
- Plenty of fresh hay
- Daily clean up
- Full clean weekly
- Grooming service available at additional costs

£6 for 1 rabbit or guinea pig
£8 for 2 rabbits or guinea pigs (sharing)
£9 for 3 guinea pigs (sharing)

Drop off/pick up times are (by appointment only):
- 8am to 9:30am
- 3pm to 5pm

Nail Clipping - £2
Like our own nails, Guinea Pig’s claws grow quite quickly and if left unattended can cause lameness, over-curling and bumblefoot. We understand how daunting it may be to clip your piggies claws, especially when they are black. We will take that hassle away from you and treat your pets to a manicure.
Full Groom - £5
The ultimate in spa experiences for your pigs! The treatment includes bathing in one of the conditioning shampoos from Gorgeous Guineas
* Posh n Go: Best for long haired pigs
* Lemon Tea Tree & Lavender: A delightfully smelling shampoo for all pigs
* Manuka & Neem: For pigs with dry or crusty skin.
After a relaxing bath, a quick towel down and an air dry in the clean run, we will give your pigs a good brush, detangle and trim especially around bottoms. The groom will conclude with a nail trim and some luxury paw butter for those dry feet.
